What is Student Yard Works? |

We are a landscape maintenance company. We provide the following services for a fee: trimming and small tree work, weeding and clean up, lawn services, junk hauling, planting, delivery of landscape materials, digging, and power washing. |

Do you do landscape design, construction or consulting? |
|
Student Yard Works does not design or construct landscape structures. We also do not do any consultation or design of plant layouts. This is because we believe a company is generally more successful if they focus on doing one or a few specific things and doing them well. We do yard maintenance and do it well! |

How long do jobs normally last? |
|
Typically a client will request that our crews do a few jobs selected from our eight categories. The jobs can take from one hour to a few weeks, but most commonly take 2-6 hours. |

Are you fully insured? |
|
Yes, we have full coverage. |

Can you give me an exact price before you arrive? |
|
Yes. When we arrive and see what needs doing we will agree upon a set price before starting any work. |

Why are appointments booked in two-hour timeslots? |
|
Unforeseen circumstances such as traffic or jobs that take longer than expected, make it difficult for us to arrive at an exact time. Truck teams call 15 to 30 minutes before arrival and give a firm arrival time within that two-hour window. |

Can you do the job for me if I am not there? |
|
Yes, but we prefer that you are on-site when the truck team arrives, this way we can review the job with you before starting. If you are unable to be there, we will review the job and pricing upon arrival and call you for confirmation. |

When do I pay? |
|
Payment is due when the job is complete. Please have payment ready for a crew member at the end of every job. |

Do you accept credit card payment over the phone? |
|
Yes. If you are not present when your job is complete, call our office at 604 984 9273 and we can process your credit card over the phone. |
